Organizations that have received grants from the Golden Civic Foundation impact nearly everyone living in Golden and beyond.  We are proud of the investments in our community and the significance we’ve all enjoyed because of them.

  • Bell Middle School – Help fund the cost of sending more teachers to the Buck Institute, which will enhance their iSTEM program.

  • Buffalo Bill Days – Entertainment at the 2018 Buffalo Bill Days event.

  • CASA of Jefferson & Gilpin Counties – Support CASA’s Fostering Futures Program.

  • Christian Action Guild – Help establish a new Emergency Assistance Fund.

  • Colorado 14ers Initiative – Purchase bearproofing systems that will minimize bear impact at the Mt. Evans base camp.

  • Colorado Cowboy Gathering – Perform their cowboy storytelling show to local schools, including Bell Middle School, Shelton Elementary and Mitchell Elementary.

  • Colorado Mountain Club supports its Youth Education Program, which works with local schools to connect at-risk youth.

  • Colorado Railroad Museum – Purchase 20 new chairs for their library.

  • Colorado Teen Project – Support mentoring of GHS foster kids.

  • Colorado Trail Foundation – Update their website

  • Compass Montessori – Purchase hard copy books for their Guided Reading Library.

  • Continental Divide Trail Coalition – Purchase “adopt a trail” training resources for adopters and printed materials.

  • CSM Geology Museum Hang a large mural in the museum.

  • Dinosaur Ridge Funds to improve the Triceratops Trail.

  • Family Tree – Help fund Family Tree’s Homelessness Program that supports Golden residents.

  • Foothills Art Center – Upgrade to a new customer relationship management (CRM) system.

  • Go Farm – Purchase payment processing and order tracking sales equipment for SNAP customers.

  • Golden Backpack Program – Fund over four months of food for the school year, weekend sacks program and the weekend co-op program.

  • Golden Chamber of Commerce – Help fund the 2018 Olde Golden Christmas.

  • Golden Fire Department – Purchase one Lifepak 1000 automatic external defibrillator (AED).

  • Golden Giddyup – Purchase equipment to help them become more efficient in their stewardship of our trails.

  • Golden High After Prom – Provide two scholarships to Golden High Schools with a safe, fun option for something to do at After Prom.

  • Golden High School – Purchase 10 chrome books that would be shared by the Student Council and the 9th grade Honors English classes.

  • Golden Landmarks – Purchase a sturdy tent, Flex-it presentation panels, photo storage bins, a depth of framed photography and a ground mat to exhibit Golden’s history.

  • Golden Optimist Club – Purchase a commercial-grade logo tent-top that would provide shelter for volunteers when at events and while fixing bikes.

  • Golden Police Department – Help fund their Annual National Night Out “A Golden Night in the Park” event.

  • Jefferson County Library Foundation – Help purchase materials and equipment for the DIYLab at the Golden library along with supplies for the Library’s Discover Together Early Literacy Space for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

  • Jefferson Symphony Orchestra – Acquire music scores for joint performances with student bands and orchestras and to help maintain their 50-year-old music library.

  • Kids Music Project by Coral Creek – Create music kits for Kindergarten teachers to use in classrooms in our local elementary schools.

  • Kyffin Elementary – Purchase littleBits engineering kits to their MakersSpace so that students can complete tech-based activities, like coding, robotics, circuitry and other hands-on activities.

  • Miners Alley Playhouse – Purchase a new soundboard.

  • Mitchell Elementary – Purchase chromebooks and cart to loan to students that are enrolled in the free or reduced lunch program at school.

  • Neighborhood Rehab Project – Support their annual “Be a Tool” Community Day and also provide materials for volunteers to repair and replace roofing to selected Golden residents, ensuring they have a warm, safe and dry home.

  • Outdoor Lab Foundation – Program support for Golden public and charter school students for the weeks they attend Outdoor Lab during the 2017-18 school year.

  • Red Rocks Community College – Scholarships to cover the cost of tuition for two students to earn a nonprofit management certificate through the newly launched Nonprofit Pathway program at Red Rocks Community College.

  • Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum – Purchase a Portable Projection Screen and PA System to enhance their Educational Outreach Program.

  • Shelton Elementary – Help fund enrichment opportunities such as foreign language, chess, coding, robotics, etc. to all students during the school day.

  • Welchester Elementary – Purchase a television to install within the building to communicate important school announcements, purchase materials to assemble a 5-gallon lockdown kit for each room in the school, and for teacher recognition.
