Why Attend?

The Bandstand Ball isn’t just a party—it’s a purpose-driven celebration. Proceeds from sponsorships, ticket sales, the live and silent auctions support our Community Impact Grants Program, which funds vital local nonprofits and community organizations in Golden. This year’s Paddle Raise will benefit the Golden High School Music Department through our B.I.G. Grant (Big Ideas in Golden), helping equip young musicians with the instruments and technology they need to thrive.

Paddle Raise

Each year, our Board selects one transformational project to receive our B.I.G. Grant (Big Ideas in Golden) as the focus of our gala’s paddle raise, which generates significant funding for a bold, community-centered initiative. This year, we’re proud to direct that support toward the GHS Music Department.

Imagine a loud and proud marching band inspiring school spirit at pep rallies and invigorating fans at football games, and the social, emotional, and intellectual benefits of music reaching even more of Golden's youth. This year’s paddle raise will support Golden High School’s Music Department by sponsoring marching band uniforms, new drum sets, speakers, amplifiers, and more. Golden High School could not return prestige to their once award-winning music department without the help of our paddle raise supporters!

Past B.I.G. Grant recipients include the Foothills Art Center outdoor seating project, support for Miners Alley Performing Arts Center to purchase their permanent home at the old Meyer Hardware Store, The GHS Track renovation, the "Follow Your Passion" Golden Fire Department Monument, and many more.
